The projects of Algeciras Port Authority (Spain), Port of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Port Authority of Lisbon (Portugal) and Puertos del Estado (Spain) have been shortlisted for the 12th European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) Award on Social Integration of Ports. The jury selected these four applications from a total of seven submissions. On 11th September 2020, Ocean Harvesting Technologies, a Swedish pre-commercial renewable energy company striving to be a market leader in wave energy technology, announced a €300 000 investment from Lundin Foundation. After 88 years the historic four-masted barque PEKING returned to its home port. Monday morning, the former sailing cargo ship left the shipyard “Peters Werft”, where it was successfully restored on behalf of the Hamburg Maritime Foundation (Stiftung Hamburg Maritim). At her interim berth at Bremerkai, the PEKING will be converted into the main attraction of the future German Port Museum by the Hamburg Historical Museums Foundation (Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg).

First global Logistics Egypt continues its support to the Oil &Gas sector for their movements across the world. Palanga Airport is preparing for an important reconstruction in the autumn of 2021, as the runway of the airport will be reconstructed and other works will include renewal of the taxiway and other parts of the apron. The search for a contractor for these works will be announced this week and the contract will be signed with a selected partner in the second quarter of 2021. Reconstruction works are scheduled to start in September next year, during which time the airport will be suspended for the shortest necessary period - 45 days.
