On 11th September 2020, Ocean Harvesting Technologies, a Swedish pre-commercial renewable energy company striving to be a market leader in wave energy technology, announced a €300 000 investment from Lundin Foundation. The investment matches a €300 000 grant from the Swedish Energy Agency to provide Ocean Harvesting Technologies with the required funding to prototype the next development phase of the company’s novel InfinityWEC technology.

After 88 years the historic four-masted barque PEKING returned to its home port. Monday morning, the former sailing cargo ship left the shipyard “Peters Werft”, where it was successfully restored on behalf of the Hamburg Maritime Foundation (Stiftung Hamburg Maritim). At her interim berth at Bremerkai, the PEKING will be converted into the main attraction of the future German Port Museum by the Hamburg Historical Museums Foundation (Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg).

This very special “super” car was handled with all the needed care and security for their customer, this was also for their German customer. They were responsible for unloading the car from the special airline, car ULD plate, and customs clearance. Palanga Airport is preparing for an important reconstruction in the autumn of 2021, as the runway of the airport will be reconstructed and other works will include renewal of the taxiway and other parts of the apron. The search for a contractor for these works will be announced this week and the contract will be signed with a selected partner in the second quarter of 2021. Reconstruction works are scheduled to start in September next year, during which time the airport will be suspended for the shortest necessary period - 45 days.

four metre-long drone has recently flown a 3D-printed spare part for the Troll A platform’s lifeboat system from Equinor’s Mongstad base to the offshore installation 80km away. The trial project, believed to be the first of its kind involving freight taken to an offshore platform, took the drone about one hour as it flew at a height of just over 1,500m. The part had been redesigned, modelled and printed because it is no longer manufactured and is hard to obtain. The drone, a Camcopter s-100 unit, has been thoroughly tested in a range of applications, and has clocked up around 70,000 flying hours in defence and coastguard services. Weighing more than 100kg, it can carry up to 50kg of cargo at speeds of more than 150km/h.
