BLUE ECONOMY OPPORTUNITIES FOR ISLANDS

The Blue Economy Hub and WOC Partner on Blue Economy Opportunities for Islands, 27 August

The Blue Economy Hub is hosting a webinar on opportunities in the Blue Economy for SIDS, with a focus on Mauritius and Seychelles.

World Ocean Council (WOC) CEO Paul Holthus will be participating as speaker, alongside Angelique Pouponneu (CEO, The Seychelles Conservation & Climate Adaptation Trust), Seewraj Nundlall (Head of Cluster, Economic Development Board Mauritius), with Ranjan Naik (Co-Founder, The Blue Economy Hub) as moderator.

Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are the custodians of much of the world’s oceans. Through their exclusive economic zones, they control about 30% of all oceans and seas. Several SIDS have already developed national Blue (Ocean) economy strategies.
