logitrans 2015: Top speakers and themes in the supporting program

The ninth edition of logitrans, International Transport Logistics Exhibition, will be taking place between November 18 and 20, 2015 in the Istanbul Expo Center. This trade show presents a broad spectrum of products and services along the entire value chain in logistics, telematics and transport. Held in Turkey, logitrans is the ideal bridge between the markets of Europe, Asia and Russia.
In 2015 logitrans will again be featuring a high-caliber supporting program. On the Thursday and Friday, the main event, organized for the first time, is “PeriLog, International Conference on Supply Chain Management of Perishable Goods”. This conference focuses on the themes of transport and storage of perishables and cool-chain logistics. The first part of the conference, organized by BVL International, The Global Supply Chain Network, Germany, is dedicated to “Temperature Control of Perishable Goods”. In the second part, on Friday, November 19, the core theme is “Save Fuel or Food—Potentials for New Green Business Opportunities”. Both companies and end consumers are very concerned about sustainability—and the logistics sector is also increasingly demanding greater sustainability. Two key goals compete here: avoiding waste and reducing CO2 emissions. At PeriLog experts from all areas involved will be addressing this conflict and talking about concepts, solutions and new business models.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2015 the Logistics Alliance Germany is putting on a lecture entitled “Organizing Logistics—Breaking New Ground Together: The Importance of Infrastructure Projects for Turkish-German Logistics Cooperations”. Turkey is continuing to expand its role as a logistics hub between the EU and Asia. At the same time the German logistics industry is offering tailor-made solutions for the partners in Turkey. This forum by the Logistics Alliance Germany aims to bring these partners together. At logitrans all the market partners will find an ideal framework for talking about and initiating further developments.
On Thursday, November 19, 2015, BUV, the Federation of Entrepreneurs’ Associations, Germany, is looking at the subject of “Railway Transportation and Hinterland-Connections—Development, Potential, Capabilities”. In response to the increasingly international character of the logistics business, Turkey is planning greater integration between the different transport routes. In this context rail offers significant potential. The country is planning to modernize the existing rail network, to procure around 2,500 new freight wagons and to electrify the network and the locomotives. German companies are also involved in expanding the transport connections in Turkey. For the experts, a key theme is the interlinking of the different transport routes, something that today often still presents a challenge.

The 3-day exhibition organized on 19-21st November in 2014 brought 14.428 participiants from 56 countries together by achieving an increase of 22 percent when compared with the previous year.  200 exhibitor companies from 22 countries introduced their products and services in 2 halls.

Join logitrans International Transport Logistics Exhibition that will be organized in Istanbul for the 9th time from 18th to 20th November 2015 and take the opportunity of meeting executives from the logistics and supply chain management sectors.
