20th Turkmenistan International Oil & Gas Conference, OGT 2015 is organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan, Chamber of Commerce and Summit Trade Events Ltd (UK). Conference will take place on 17 – 19 November 2015 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Since its inception, OGT has established itself as one of the premier oil and gas events not only regionally but also globally.
Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector is one of the main pillars of the country’s sustainable economic development. Along with intensification of hydrocarbon exploration and production, increase in quality and variety of oil and gas products, Turkmenistan has greatly invested in upgrade and modernisation of processing facilities, infrastructure, and introduction of advanced technologies and latest scientific achievements and innovations.
Turkmenistan possesses vast reserves of strategic raw hydrocarbons, which positions it along the leading energy powers. The country’s natural gas reserves position it as fourth in the world in terms if reserves.  The super-giant gas field, Galkynysh, ranks second in the world, and highlights the country’s energy potential. Due to the discovery of Galkynysh, total reserves and potential hydrocarbon resources of Turkmenistan have increased significantly.
Based on the policy of open doors, a sound legislative basis, and preferential tax treatment, Turkmenistan has established a favourable investment climate as well as developed close co-operation with well-known international companies from UK, UAE, China, Russia, USA, Germany, Japan, Canada, Korea, Malaysia, and many other countries.
OGT 2015 will once again underscore great interest of foreign companies in Turkmen market, as demonstrated by number of participants: 700 delegates from over 40 countries, representing companies, associations, government organisations, and manufacturing plants. Active information support for the event will be provided by foreign publications, news agencies, publishing houses, and internet news portals.
This event will provide local, regional and international oil and gas community with an opportunity to meet and discuss issues which are key to the effective and successful development of Turkmenistan’s hydrocarbon sector.
