The  European Railway sector has remained strong with the help of continued
government investments. European Market   for rail equipment and services is now predicted
to rise by 20% in the next four years to €70bn a year. By 2019, three quarters of all spending
on railway equipment worldwide, €124bn worth of annual contracts, is expected to be open to
competitive tendering.
