At yesterday’s award ceremony in London, the Treasury Today Group recognised Kuehne + Nagel’s fully integrated invoice-to-cash platform as highly commended winner in the category “Best Trade / Supply Chain Finance Solution”. Kuehne + Nagel’s solution enables suppliers to raise their electronical invoices online and to receive payments within a few days once they have signed up for the receivables purchase programme.

On 23 May, the Federal Administrative Court delivered its written judgement to the court’s decision of 9 February this year to the parties fighting the law suit. Both the Federal and Hamburg administrations have already been working since February on the Court’s remaining reservations, eliminating them in supplementary proceedings. The Court’s judgement contains some clarifications,
making this work easier. A considerable part of this consists of an additional measure compensating for the loss of stocks of the hemlock water dropwort. A suitable area for this has been found at
Billwerder Island.

In May, Warsaw Chopin Airport has handled 1.32 million passengers - 22 percent more than in the same period of last year. After five months of 2017, over 5.46 million passengers were handled by the Warsaw airport - 26 percent more compared to 2016. Currently the most popular route in regular traffic is London and in charter traffic - the Canary Islands.
In the first months of this year freight traffic has also increased dynamically. Between January and May more than 32 000 tons of cargo were handled - almost 22 percent more than a year ago.
