The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the 2017 World Financial Symposium (WFS) will focus on sustaining airline financial health and speeding delivery of industry initiatives to support this goal.

CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s largest supply chain management companies has enhanced its capabilities in Dublin with the introduction of a 15,000 square foot temperature-controlled facility at its Dublin warehouse. The new building has been constructed as an insulated building-within-a-building on the city's airport industrial park and will allow it to better serve customers with medical products requiring to be kept within a constant temperature range of 15-25 degrees.

At 70 million tons, first-half seaborne cargo throughput in Hamburg in 2017, including the general and bulk cargo segments, all but matched the previous year’s, being only one-fifth of one percent (0.2%) lower. In the first six months of 2017 containerized general cargo throughput at 4.45 million TEU (20-ft standard containers) was at the previous year’s level. Up by one percent at 23.5 million tons, bulk cargo throughput in Germany’s largest universal port continued to grow.

London International Shipping Week takes place between 11th and 15th September, during which an event at the IMO will focus on the correct packing of Cargo Transport Units (CTUs) and the safety issues that result from poor packing and securing practices.
