Breakbulk Middle East 2020 encourages emergence of future generations into the industry

Dubai – United Arab Emirates – 20th of November 2019: Breakbulk Middle East, an internationally acclaimed conference and exhibition, reveals ‘Education Day” initiative. The event, which will take place from 25th February to 26th February 2020 at Dubai World Trade Center, will bring together prominent international and national leaders in project cargo industries with UAE educational entities and college students to raise the awareness about industry career opportunities. The 5th edition of Breakbulk Middle East is held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Minister of Infrastructure Development and the Chairman of the Federal Transport Authority for Land and Maritime.

H.E Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Minister of Infrastructure Development and the Chairman of Federal Transport Authority for Land and Maritime clarified, “It is very important to focus on education across all industries in the UAE. The essence of successful economic growth stems from a strong education and knowledge base, which is why we are in full support of all initiatives which encourage educational development. Breakbulk is taking a bold step towards emphasizing the importance of education, through partnering with top educational institutes in the region, and this will help ensure the industry will be in good hands moving forward.”

Eng. Ahmed Al Khouri, Director-General of the Federal Authority for Land and Maritime Transport explained, “The UAE has great prominence as a global business hub in the Middle East. It is essential for the country to execute consistent and calculated action on all fronts of the industry to maintain this status, and this undeniably includes education. The next generation of our global workforce is a key factor in the industry’s success, and properly informing the youth and presenting them with opportunities to grasp will positively shape the future.”

Prepping the Next Era

During its 5th edition, the exhibition will gear up to join forces with the Middle East education sector to highlight solid opportunities for the region’s future generations. One of the prominent collaborations the event has made is a partnership with Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Sharjah – a subsidiary of the Arab States University, headquartered in Egypt.

 

Dr. Ahmed Youssef, Associate Dean and In charge of the Maritime Transport College – Sharjah Branch, commented, “The Academy is a well-established education institute which has been in Africa and the MENA regions since 1970. We have recently opened our branch in Sharjah which is a milestone towards our continuous efforts to enhance the education scene in the gulf. Our facilities contain the first Arab campus with maritime specialized educational programs in the GCC. The academy is very pleased to collaborate, and partner, with a global conference such as Breakbulk Middle East. Through our collaboration with the event, we are reinforcing the country’s vision to stay on the lead, not only in maritime but across all business and economy sectors.”

Ben Blamire, Show’s Event Director elaborated saying, “Breakbulk has witnessed a tremendous success in the previous editions, and it aims to hit new benchmarks during its 5th edition.
