Zita Tallat-Kelpšaitė is an artist, a painter, a book writer and publisher of an international business magazine, who lived and worked in Klaipėda for the past 45 years.
Currently she has settled in Šventoji, in the neighbourhood of wind-blown sand dunes, blossoming pines and stormy sea.
The works of Zita Tallat-Kelpšaitė have been introduced at joint exhibitions in Klaipėda (2016), Karaganda (Kazakhstan, 2017), Locarno (Switzerland, 2018 and 2021), London (United Kingdom, 2022), also personal exhibitions in Klaipėda (2019 and 2022).
In 2020, together with the painter Irma Leščinskaitė, Tallat-Kelpšaitė took part at the Poestate international festival of poetry and art, where they introduced The Seasons project, dedicated to the literary classic Kristijonas Donelaitis, the father of Lithuanian literature.
For this project, Tallat-Kelpšaitė presented a collection of paintings The Seasons, telling the story of the Baltic culture and Baltic writings through the poetry of Donelaitis. The work of the Lithuanian artists was awarded with an international Poestate prize.
The Four Seasons project became the basis for the piece of art Donelaitis as the Homer of Lithuania, created by Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania with partners and exhibited at EXPO 2020 Dubai in 2021-2022.
