Baltic health care market leader AS Repharm has extended its board and appointed Jānis Vanags as the new Board Member and Chief Corporate Officer.

As part of his key responsibilities the new board member will contribute to developing company strategy, building reputation, improving customer relations and communication, ensuring effective management of risks, as well as maintaining government and stakeholder relations. With Mr. Vanags involvement Repharm plans to clarify and launch into action a comprehensive business and communication strategy. Repharm goal is to develop the company, foster growth in the national healthcare and medicine sector and increase its competitiveness in the face of international health challenges of today and tomorrow.

Mr. Vanags is joining the current board of Repharm consisting of Aleksejs Udačins (Chairman) and Josifs Apts. 

Mr. Vanags has over 10 years of experience in management positions in aviation, service, and retail industries operating across 30+ markets in Europe, CIS, and the Middle East. Mr. Vanags has previously served as board member and CCO of Maxima Latvija since joining the retailer in 2018.  In the past six years, Mr Vanags has additionally worked as a consultant and trainer on corporate affairs and emergency management for major international organizations and companies in Europe, Asia and Africa. He is a sought-after speaker and lecturer at universities and conferences globally from London to Singapore. Mr. Vanags is IATA (Montreal/Geneva) Instructor consulting and training airline, airport and other industry professionals globally since 2013, and member of the Policy Group at the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance since 2021.
