Messe Muenchen do Brasil, organizer of M&T Expo - International Trade Fair for Construction and Mining Equipment, in partnership with Sobratema - Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining, announces the postponement of the 11th edition of its trade fair from 2021 to 2022. The decision was taken due to the current pandemic scenario and the only gradual start of immunization campaigns in Brazil and worldwide.
The event, which would have taken place from 5 to 8 of July this year, will announce its new date soon.
“The decision was aligned with our stakeholders and is based on the principle to provide only the best conditions for doing business, knowledge exchange and relationship building in a safe environment for visitors, exhibitors and partners. We have a clear understanding about the relevance of M&T Expo - part of bauma NETWORK for the Brazilian and Latin American markets, in addition to the engagement the show generates both among exhibitors and visitors, so the smartest decision to take is to hold this event next year, expecting also that a large part of the global population will be immunized”, explains Rolf Pickert, Managing Director of Messe Muenchen do Brasil.
Afonso Mamede, president of Sobratema, reinforces that this decision is in line with the principles worked by Sobratema since the first edition of the M&T Expo was held in 1995. “We are experiencing a challenging scenario, which has required resilience, courage and perseverance from the entire sector to the safety and health of people and business. Therefore, holding the show on a new date, in which there will be a significant advance in immunization campaigns in Brazil and around the world, will be beneficial for visitors, exhibitors and partners. It also will contribute for the M&T Expo to continue with its mission of being the main event for business and relationship development, in addition to promoting launches, the main technologies and spreading technical knowledge in the sector ".
For 26 years, M&T Expo has been one of the main platforms for conducting business and sharing knowledge to the Construction and Mining industries in Brazil and Latin America. Held every 3 years, the event generated BRL 2.7 billion in new business in its last edition. It gathers executives, entrepreneurs, decision makers and buyers interested in doing business and exchanging knowledge about machinery and equipment for construction and mining, concrete and asphalt, lifting equipment, as well as components, parts and services for maintenance.
Since 2017, the event has become part of the global calendar of bauma NETWORK, the largest international network of events for the construction and mining equipment industry.
