China Eastern chief expects 'big difference' in 2012 traffic decline

CHINA Eastern Airlines is forecasting a slow first half with a bigger improvement into the second half of 2012 due to the pressures of the European economic crisis on both cargo and passenger traffic.

According to the carrier's chairman Liu Shaoyong, 2012 will show a "big difference" from year previous but declined to give particulars of its impact on the company's financial performance, Reuters reports.
