Wilhelmsen Ships Services Dubai moves after 28 years
2010-07-26
After 28 years on Dubai Creek, Wilhelmsen Ships Service has moved to new office premises in Dubai.

The move will ensure Wilhelmsen Ships Service is positioned closer to Jebel Ali Port and the newly opened Dubai World Central, which is set to be the world’s largest integrated sea and air logistics hub. The new office is also in close proximity to Sheikh Zayed Road and the new Dubai Metro assisting access to all parts of the city.

Dubai is one of Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s largest areas of operation and the office is one of the biggest in the network. More than 150 personnel who are employed at Wilhelmsen Ships Service, Dubai were involved in the move at the end of June. The IT move alone was a major operation involving some five tons of IT equipment and servers which were re-installed and re-configured within 24 hours.

“We are fortunate to move to modern premises which offer the right profile and facilities for the business today and for the future,” comments Richard Mogg, Area Director Middle East at Wilhelmsen Ships Service. “It is an exciting development that has been planned over the course of a year and the response from staff and customers has been overwhelmingly positive. We are also pleased that many of our customers who held representative offices in our previous location have chosen to move with us. The project team have done a great job.”
