Lithuanian marine business candidates
to the nominations Anatolijus 2002

The following companies are recommended for nominations of the
Grand-Prix Anatolijus, First, Second and Third Grade Anatolijus:

  • Klaipedos Nafta (chief executive Jurgis Ausra) - for the largest input into improvement of stevedoring results of Klaipeda Port.
  • Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) (chief executive Eduardas Plauska) - for changing the engineering-technical view of the port.
  • Limarko (chief executive Vytautas Lygnugaris) - for the biggest input into the money-box of the port.
  • Shipyard Baltija (chief executive Viktoras Stulpinas) - for stable business.
  • Malku Ilankos Terminalas (chief executive Raimondas Skiotys) - for a good start.
  • Lisco Baltic Service (chief executive Arturas Gedgaudas) - for the most active shipping in the port.
  • Western Shipyard (chief executive Arnoldas Sileika) - for the re-birth of the company.
  • Laivite (chief executive Konstantinas Kovalis) - for expansion of activities.
  • Baltic Group Ltd. (chief executive Vytautas Sileika) - for the most efficient forwarding activities.
  • Klaipedos Smelte (chief executive Martinas Gusiatinas) - for innovations.
  • Consortium Klaipedos Terminalas (chief executive Vaidotas Sileika) - for the most effective use of stevedoring areas.
  • PE Mindaugas Karalius (chief executive Mindaugas Karalius) - for distinctiveness in forwarding business.
  • Klaipedos Hidrotechnika (chief executive Pranas Jurgutis) - for the biggest input of a Lithuanian enterprise into reconstruction of harbour entrance.
  • Golfinas (chief executive Igor Larionov) - for the biggest vessel piloted into the port.

Journalists nominated for the Fourth Grade nomination The Fourth Power
for heating up the atmosphere in marine business:

  • Gediminas Pilaitis (a correspondent of the independent daily paper Lietuvos Rytas).
  • Jelena Listopad (a correspondent of Klaipeda district and city¦s daily Klaipeda).
  • Dalia Bikauskaite (a correspondent of Klaipeda area newspaper Vakaru Ekspresas).
  • Vida Borteliene (a correspondent of daily paper Lietuvos Zinios).
  • Gabriele Vasiliauskaite (a correspondent of Lithuanian business daily paper Verslo Zinios).
  • Ramune Banziene (LNK correspondent).

The following candidates are recommended for the nomination
of Personal Anatolijus:

  • Vytautas Lygnugaris, director general of Limarko - for elegance in business.
  • Jonas Salyga, chief physician of Seamen's hospital - for creation of the international marine health and training centre.
  • Arnoldas Sileika, director general of Western Shipyard - for revival of shipbuilding and ship repair in the company.
  • Konstantinas Kovalis, director general of Laivite - for conquering the depths and heights.
  • Valdemaras Vaicekauskas, director general of Krantas Shipping - for the successfully created and well-sold business.

The following companies are recommended for the nomination
of Consolation Anatolijus:

  • Kroviniu Terminalas (chief executive Audrius Pauza) - for the millions of tonnes reloaded in his thoughts.
  • Senoji Baltija (chief executive Mindaugas Rimeikis) - for the restructuring odyssey.
  • Klaipedos Laivu Remontas (chief executive Naglis Puteikis) - for the artistic qualities and significant input into cinematography.

 

Anatolijus – 2002 laureates

This year 14 stevedoring, shipping, ship agents' and ship repair enterprises were nominated for the Grand Prix Anatolijus, 1st, 2nd and 3d degree Anatolijus.
Five personalities were nominated for Personal Anatolijus. Six journalists who heated up the atmosphere in the marine business most of all were nominated for the 4th degree award the Fourth Power.
For the first time the best pilot of the year was awarded with Pilot Anatolijus. 10 marine business professionals: representatives of port companies, Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and the international magazine JURA/MORE/SEA as well as members of the Seimas of Lithuania assessed the nominated marine companies and personalities. Chairman of the jury was member of the Seimas of Lithuania Valentinas Greiciunas who was awarded with a symbolic small Anatolijus statuette. Zigmantas Balcytis also received such commemoration present. Organizers of the event awarded the laureates with diplomas of honour and statuettes of a bollard created by the artist Viaceslav Gibovskij.

Grand Prix Anatolijus was granted to Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) for changing the engineering and technical view of the port.
For the second year in turn the 1st Degree Anatolijus was granted to UAB Limarko for the biggest contribution to the moneybox of the port.
The 2nd Degree Anatolijus was granted to AB Klaipedos Nafta for the largest input into improvement of stevedoring results of Klaipeda Port.
The 3rd Degree Anatolijus was granted to AB Baltijos Laivu Statykla for stability in business.
The chief pilot-instructor of Klaipeda VTS Vytautas Grigeliunas became the pilot of the year.
The 4th Degree Anatolijus was granted the reporter of the daily Klaipeda Jelena Listopad for heating up the atmosphere in marine business and defending seafarers' rights.
Personal Anatolijus for elegance in business was granted to director general of UAB Limarko Vytautas Lygnugaris.
Consolation Anatolijus was granted to AB Kroviniu Terminalas "for the millions of tons reloaded in thoughts".
