New Port Director for the Port of Aarhus

49-year-old Thomas Haber Borch has been selected from more than 80 candidates for the position as Director of the Port of Aarhus. He will henceforth be at the forefront of Denmark´s largest commercial port.

Thomas Haber Borch has extensive experience of both operations and management. Since 2015, he has been CEO of DKI Logistics A/S and Vikar DK A/S and, for a period of time, was the co-owner of both companies. In addition to his responsibilities for the operation, growth and development of both the temporary staffing company and the logistics company, Thomas Haber Borch has had close customer relationships with the likes of Central Denmark Region, one of the logistics company’s major customers.

From 2008 to 2015, Thomas Haber Borch was area director and regional director of PostNord. He has also worked for companies such as Berendsen and Michelin.

The future Port Director originally studied Electrical Engineering, but went on to qualify as a market economist specialising in international marketing, and took an HD in Supply Chain Management. In addition, he holds an MBA and has studied board governance.

Thomas Haber Borch will take up his position as Director of the Port of Aarhus by 1 July 2020. He lives in Højbjerg near Aarhus with his wife and their three children.
