Oleg Belozerov, CEO - Chairman of the Executive Board of Russian Railways and Andreas Matthä, CEO of ÖBB-Holding AG, sent a welcome address to the participants of the Rail Business Forum “1520 Strategic Partnership: Central Europe”, where they mentioned the need to join efforts of heads of national 1520 and 1435 rail companies in order to create a modern and high quality transportation product.

“Joining efforts of heads of national 1520 and 1435 rail companies is the key to expanding the East-West overland route capacity and creating a modern and high quality transportation product for our clients. Taking these factors into account at the Forum in Vienna we focus on mechanisms of the East-West corridor capacity enhancement, prospects for the decrease of overland freight costs and through rates establishment, ways to reduce customs barriers and intensify 1520 and 1435 interoperability” - the address says.
Oleg Belozerov and Andreas Matthä noted that the Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe” will become a significant event for all partner countries seeking qualitative improvement of rail transit traffic.
The International Rail Business Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe” will be held on February 20-22, 2018 in Vienna, Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna Hotel.
Heads of national railway operators of “broad” and “narrow” gauge countries, European Commission’s transport sector and international industry organizations will speak at the Forum.
The organizer is Business Dialogue, the key partners are ÖBB Holding AG and JSCo Russian Railways.
