TransRussia – 2002 exhibit
space going fast…

The 7th TransRussia Freight Transport and Logistics Exhibition, now one of Europe’s largest annual transport exhibitions, will again be held at the Olympiskij Sport Complex in Moscow, March 25 to 28 - 2002, following unanimous approval from exhibitors and visitors alike who attended TransRussia in its new venue last March. Exhibitor satisfaction was also enhanced by the 70% increase in visitor numbers up from 3,600 in 2000 to 6,100 this year, as a result of which many exhibitors are increasing the size of their stands to accommodate the anticipated additional visitor numbers in 2002.
Many Russian and international exhibitors have already made their commitment for exhibit space at TransRussia 2002 and organisers ITE anticipate an increase in international exhibitors as a result of the positive industry feedback following TransRussia 2001. Over 70% of the exhibition hall is already reserved for regular exhibitors including the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, Unitrans, Stim, Strazh, F.E. Trans, Trans Business Group, Port of St Petersburg, Barwil, TransSystem, Safetrans, Neftekhimtrans, Soyuztransit, Delo, Tranex, Severstaltrans, Trans Siberian Express, Broox, Russkiy Mir, Laross, Port of Kaliningrad, Fuspic, Broox, Eurosib SPB, Port of Vladivostok, Port of Hamburg, Military Insurance, DB Cargo, VR Cargo, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Port of London, DHL, Sovfracht, Ports of Szczecin/Swinoujschie, Hungarian State Rail, Port of Aktau, Klaipeda State SeaPort, Vectura, Port of Dunkerque, Estonian Trade Council, TT Club and GE SeaCo. Strong representative transport delegations are being prepared from Finland and Latvia details of which will be available in 1 or 2 months. ITE also report that the world’s largest port, Rotterdam, is also planning attendance for the first time.
Companies planning to reserve exhibition space are recommended to contact the organisers before September 28th to guarantee that the remaining space is allocated for their requirements.

Ideas and innovations for the public service

The history of the last century showed that the evolution rate of the mankind has be     en quickened every year and the most characteristic feature of the third millennium is an economical globalisation and information revolution. The economical space of the world has become a common field where those win who in good time introduce new ideas, inventions and technologies.
The interest in the events where new technologies are presented is growing in the whole world. Exhibitions on the theme have been held in Belgium (Eurika), USA (The World of New Ideas), Japan (World Forum of Genii), Bulgaria (Eurointelect), etc. This year the first innovative saloon in Moscow was organised in Russia.
The exhibition Millennium-2002, which will be organized in the Ukraine for the first time, is expected to become an event of a completely new type that will encourage a more effective use of intellectual resources by supporting a creative educational and scientific potential, seeking for investors to introduce new ideas, inventions and technologies, strengthening the protection of intellectual property and broadening the international co-operation.
The main sections at the exhibition will be: power engineering and energy-saving technologies, reusable energy resources, transport and industry, agriculture and foodstuffs, science and education, health care, medicine and biotechnologies, informatics and communications, ecology and environment protection.
It is expected that the exhibition will serve as impetus for the development of the following spheres:

  • social - new working places, better health care, stable development of regions and ecological safety;
  • cultural - increasing role of education, science and arts, the use of the intellectual potential of the youth;
  • economical - manufacturing growth, rational consumption of natural resources.

In the frame of the exhibition a conference will be held on the issues of evaluation and protection of intellectual property, rational use of natural resources, introduction of scientific and educational programmes, energy-saving technologies and alternative sources of energy. Besides, there will be a fair of innovation projects, contests for the best trademark, the best children’s drawing and technical creative work.
The idea to hold the exhibition was presented by the Exhibition Centre Marine Technologies, the organizer of largest international exhibitions Trans Ukraine, Odessa, Odessa Bot Show. Tourism. Sports. Rest, motor-show Southern Palmira.
The Governments of the Republics of Crimea and Moldova, Regisburg city, Marine Registry of Russia, Scientific Research and Planning Institute of the Black Sea, Institute of Social Technologies as well as companies from Turkey, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, etc. have announced their intention to take part in the exhibition.
